Kamaka Soprano Ukulele

One of the first ukulele makers in Hawaii was Manuel Nunes.  Sam Kamaka Sr. had apprenticed with Nunes, and in 1916 he started his own business in his basement in Kaimuki, HI, a one man shop he called: Kamaka Ukulele and Guitar Works.  His main ukulele for a few years was the Soprano size.  This page is dedicated to information on those ukulele.
